The Forbidden Freedom

They say I have pretty eyes
I say,
I carry tons of dreams in it
Dreams that don’t fit
In the society or the planet
Yeah the society won’t ever let me fly free
But the fire within me
Never lets me quit !

They say I’m ill-mannered
And my style ain’t standard
They say our country is free & democratic
But at the same time
they are ones who are dogmatic

They give me the voice
And, tell me what to sing
My dreams have big wings
But, In this free planet
I’m bound by strings

They give me wings to fly
And, tell me what my destination is
Feels like a slap
in the form of a soft kiss
My dreams have big wings
But,
In this free planet
I’m bound by strings

My body is tagged as an Eye Candy
But a bottle of brandy
Isn’t considered so ethical
My style, they say, is trendy
But my clothes, are disreputable
My dreams have big wings
But,
In this free planet
I’m bound by strings

They talk about Spreading love , spreading humanity
But loving someone is considered profanity
For them, Status & Religion are the basis of marriage
Go against them, & they’ll show you your limit
Like feeling for a different religion
Is an illicit
My dreams have big wings
But,
In this free planet
I’m bound by strings

A man working 9 to 5 is an act of bravery
On the contrary,
A 9 to 5 working woman’s character is a query
My dreams have big wings
But,
In this free planet
I’m bound by strings

But, I promise
The day when the fire within me will explode
I’ll live every single dream
Which, To myself I’ve vowed
Everything will be perfect
as I desire
And I’ll light the whole planet
By the spark of my fire ❣
