Look out and enjoy life – Supraja Raghu
INTERVIEW WITH SUPRAJA RAGHU
CONTRIBUTING POET OF JEREMIAD OF HEARTS
A short and sweet introduction of yourself. *
Hey!! I’m a young poet(age 19) who loves to read. I got my inspiration for writing from the numerous amount of books I have read. Writing and reading helps me escape into a world of it’s own and experience something new! I love to explore various things! And writing helps me share that with others! 🙂
When did you first start writing? *
When I was 16
Do you remember what you wrote first? *
Yes. I think my first writing was about my hobbies, books, movies, tv shows. Harry Potter, friends etc.
How did you get interested in writing? *
Books insipired me to write! 🙂
Who or what has been inspiration? *
I read a lot of books but I think the main inspiration for me was Jk Rowling as well as my grandfather who was a wise man. He told me many things which encouraged me to write.
Who are your favorite authors/poets? Why? *
JK ROWLING. HARRY POTTER. Her writing took me in a world completely fictional and I was in awe. No, still am. Her writing made me read more books and develop my reading habit.
How do you feel when you write? *
I feel amazing! It’s a part of me that I get to share with others. The feeling you get when even one compliments your work is incredible. A part of you has reached and made others feel… It’s a very proud moment.
What are your other hobbies? *
Reading, keyboard, tv shows, swimming.
How did you feel when you got your selection mail? *
Very excited! Was glad to be accepted!
What do you think about poetry? *
I think it’s an art which comes from within! It takes a lot for a person to share it to the world. It’s special and deep within a few lines.
Do you think rhymes are important for poems? Why so? *
Not important. The main purpose is to give meaning to the poem and have a story within a few lines. Sure a pattern of rhymes helps.
A few words for your readers? *
Fall in Love with reading and writing because there is nothing more like it!
What do you wish to say to budding writers? *
Never give up hope! Look out and enjoy life! Write what you feel that’s the most important thing in poetry! Write something that make it yours that’s how others can relate to your work too!
